Pratik Gandhi (born April 29, 1980) is a Gujarati actor who mostly works in theatre and film.
Gandhi was offered a role in the Gujarati play Aa Paar Ke Pele Paar, starring Firoz Bhagat, Apara Mehta, and Vipra Rawal, which was set to premiere in a few weeks. The play was a financial success. He was cast in a role alongside Manoj Shah, another icon of Gujarati theatre. He landed a role in the commercially and critically successful Gujarati film Bey Yaar (2014).
He continued to work in theatre, appearing in many parts in hit plays such as Mere Piya Gaye Rangoon, Hu Chandrakant Bakshi, and Ame Badha Sathe To Duniya Laiye Mathe. With his play Mohan's Masala, a monologue performed simultaneously in three languages (English, Hindi, and Gujarati), he was included in the Limca Book of Records. He starred in his following film, Wrong Side Raju (2016), which was equally a commercial and critical triumph. The film was nominated for a National Award for Best Gujarati Film, which it won.
For his role as stockbroker Harshad Mehta in the 2020 Sony LIV biographical drama online series Scam 1992, he received national notice and widespread critical acclaim. The success of the show is reported to have sparked a desire in India for financial literacy. He starred in the Gujarati drama online series Vitthal Teddi in 2021. His performance was applauded, and the show garnered great feedback.
